The Northport Golf Club was established in 1916. It is a classic 9 hole, par 36 layout featuring some alternate teeing grounds for 18 hole rounds. The course is well-maintained and is walker-friendly, featuring short distances from putting green to teeing ground. The public is always welcome with a golfer-friendly staff available to assist golfers of all skill levels. The Northport Golf Club is generally open for daily play except Tuesday afternoons, Wednesday late afternoons and Sunday thru mid-day.

Club Professional Peter Hodgkins is a PGA Class 1 Professional, a member of the Maine Golf Hall of Fame and a renowned teacher. Course amenities include a practice range, a practice putting area and a snack bar. Motorized carts as well as pull carts (trolleys) are available for use from the pro shop.

Directions to Northport Golf Club: From Belfast, go 2 miles south on U.S. Rte. 1 toward Camden. Take a left onto Bayside Road (beside Dos Amigos Mexican Restaurant).  Go .5 miles, bear right onto Bluff Road. Go .2 miles on Bluff Road. The golf course and parking are on the right.

Hampden Country Club and Learning Center is located off Route 202, five miles from downtown Hampden. The 9 hole layout is in a truly idyllic rural setting, bound by woods and the scenic Souadabscook Stream. Hampden Country Club proudly calls itself the place "where the youth holds our future." Instructional programs for kids from 5 years of age to the teens at Hampden Country Club are sanctioned by the USGA as part of the club's Maine Golf Learning Center. Hook a Kid on Golf is another active program for which volunteers are always welcome. Hampden Country Club has club and cart rentals as well as a clubhouse and snack bar.
